Located in a massive, Greek-cross-shaped, fortress-like building that served as a prison in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, this museum is home to over 20,000 archeologic, historical, ethnologic and cultural relics. They tell the story of Colombian history from 20,000 years BC up through the 20th century.
